New GM for Procter & Gamble SA

Stanislav Vecera is the new general manager for Procter & Gamble South Africa, the company announced on Tuesday, 3 November 2009.
Vecera has been at the helm of the P&G office in Nigeria for four years and has been instrumental in navigating the office through tremendous growth and expansion. Over the past four years P&G Nigeria has seen the opening of a state-of-the-art detergent factory in Ibadan as well as the formation of Nigeria as a hub for P&G operations in 16 African countries.

Vecera started his career at Procter & Gamble in the Czech Republic 17 years ago as a sales representative. Since then he has had a very successful career working with different teams building Procter & Gamble's business and capabilities in countries such as the USA, Vietnam, Croatia, Australia and Nigeria.

“Joining the team in South Africa is fantastic on both a personal and professional level,” says Vecera. “The operation in South Africa has experienced growth in 2009 and I look forward to working closely with the team to drive success into 2010 through new relationships and strategic partnerships.”

Vecera joined the team in Johannesburg on 1 November 2009.
