This year's Loeries judges awarded the TV Grand Prix to the craftsmanship and masterful storytelling of Allan Gray 'Beautiful'. The commercial was conceptualised by agency King James and directed by Keith Rose of Velocity.
It was a successful year for television production company Velocity who dominated the TV awards with the Grand Prix win, plus five Golds, five Silvers, five Craft certificates (equivalent to silver) and seven bronzes (with Bouffant).
According to Executive Producer of Velocity Peter Carr, “This has been one of our best years ever and what stands out the most for me is that our achievements include a mix of our new young directors and a range of clients and brands. The year started off with MTN 'Clap' by Greg Gray being recognised at international awards such as D&AD and Allan Gray winning silver at Cannes and now we have won the Grand Prix at the Loeries. It definitely is teamwork and we couldn't do this without strong scripts from the agencies, great clients and our suppliers.”
Whilst Barry Munchick of Velocity adds, “And it reminds me of the year we had with so much excitement with BMW 'Mouse' and 'Mercury'.”
