After the phenomenal success of the inaugural show in Cape Town in December 2007 followed by a sold out event at the Gallagher Estate, in May 2008 - The Lifestyle SA Festival - Celebrating Black, returns to the Mother City on the 11 to 12 October 2008 at Kenilworth Race Course.
The Lifestyle SA Festival is the brainchild of Shiru Githiomi MD of Human Element Inc together with Zukisa Hani and Zuki Mzozoyana. This ambitious trio are brave agents of change in having broken the mould, and tailoring the concept to provide visitors with a two day stimulating Afro-politan experience.
Visitors will be treated to an array of sights, sounds and tastes, presented in a creative and innovative style, which encompass modern living of the discerning Afro-politan.
Lifestyle SA Festival's unique make-up endeavours to include high level panel discussions premised on unpacking the secrets of wealth creation, personal freedom and contextualising the African Identity. Also on offer is live entertainment from SA's top music acts, such as Sibongile Khumalo, Jimmy Dludlu, HHP & Ringo, with fresh comedy acts hosted by the likes of Trevor Noah, Stuart Taylor and the bold Tumi Morake who is not afraid to tell it like it is. The event also features a unique fashion extravaganza put together by our very own top Afro-fusion designers, showcasing their creations on curvaceous bodies - another reason the pay off line for the festival is celebrating black!
A brand new offering at the festival will be the culinary experience, taking visitors though a delicious trip of Africa, courtesy of Cape Town's award-winning food maestro Colin Nyoni, owner of Nyoni's Kraal.
Shiru Githiomi, Managing Director of Human Element Inc comments, “We are excited to be hosting the third Lifestyle SA Festival. Afropolitans are becoming demanding in terms of quality and variety of experiences. The Lifestyle SA Festival allows these discerning consumers to explore by introducing them to international trends across all industries as well as providing an environment for them to network with like minded individuals."
The success of the Lifestyle SA Festival has been about celebrating the cultural diversity that makes South Africa a truly special rainbow nation and also about giving astute marketers an opportunity to interact and spend quality time engaging with consumers in ways that resonate with them on a more meaningful level.
