If you find it difficult to start writing, not sure what medium to write for, or what to write, the motivational and inspirational three day creative writing workshop The Write Voice will empower you with the write skills.
Explore your voice as a writer,
Are you guilty of spending more time talking about your writing, than actually sitting down and putting words to paper?
Hosted by the Artscape Resource Centre, The Write Voice workshop takes place at the Artscape Theatre Centre on Saturday, November 29 and December 6 and 13 from 1pm until 5pm on each day.
It takes writers through the writing process, from the inception of an idea, to selecting the right medium for your story. It empowers writers to make the right choices and take ownership of their writing; master the craft of writing for different mediums (from articles to short stories, from novels to plays and films); develop an understanding of what and who you are writing about; and how to change chaos into completed projects that is publisher-and-producer friendly.
The workshop is ideal for anyone who needs a jump start and take that step forward in writing creatively. It empowers writers to make the most of their creative talent and sharpen their skills. If you find it difficult to start writing, not sure what medium to write for, or what to write, this motivational and inspirational four day workshop will provide you with the write tools.
During the workshop you will write a short story that will be READ during the last session. There will also be several practical writing exercises guaranteed to trigger the creative process.
The workshop is presented by Daniel E. Dercksen, who has done more than 200 practical and motivational workshops in creative writing and scriptwriting throughout South Africa during the past years; and as a published movie journalist, with more than 22 years experience, he writes regular interviews and features on a freelance basis.
