Ligwalagwala FM puts a roof over heads
Ligwalagwala fm has done it again but this time in a very big and heart touching way. The largest Siswati (SABC) radio station has lived up to its mother brand's strategic intent - “Broadcasting for total citizen empowerment.” Through its weekly insert slot on the breakfast show hosted by Madumane, this station has managed to give away bursaries, leanerships, sustainable jobs to disadvantaged individuals but this time the station has outdone itself by building a house for an extremely destitute family residing in Makoko trust outside of Kabokweni. “We invite our listeners to write in and tell us of people in their communities that deserve this kind of help from the station, this one was a unique case and we felt that we should meet our government halfway in terms of service delivery hence this magnificent contribution from the station” says Madumane, the breakfast show host. At least one family has a roof over its head and thanks to Ligcabho Lesive, as the station is known to its listeners.
