BIZKIDS 200
YoungBiz SA Foundation is looking for sponsors to help send unemployed youth on a five-day entrepreneurship training course that will have them up and running in their own business in five days.

The YoungBiz SA Foundation run five day intensive courses in entrepreneurship and financial literacy for disadvantaged youth between the ages of 15 and 25 that encourage them to start their own business. The courses teach them the fundamentals of money and how to control it and assists them in identifying a business that they have interest in and show them how to set it up with their current resources - a real and attainable business that their current resources will meet - we then take them through the basics of the business from financial costings, marketing plans and materials, business plans, business presentations, public speaking and sales. The idea being that if we can get the student to focus on something that is attainable right now then we will encourage that entrepreneurial spirit that is so much a part of the South African culture.

At the end of the five days the student has a working business that they can start to earn revenue from immediately. Through links with the local Chamber of Commerce and Business Woman's Association the graduates of the course are provided with six months of business encouragement, meetings and mentorship to help them grow their fledgling enterprises.

By encouraging this entrepreneurial spirit and faith in their own abilities before the depression of unemployment leads to worse things such as crime, YoungBiz SA hopes to bring about positive change in South Africa.

We would like your help in reaching many more kids. Our aim is to provide this training to 200 kids in each province annually and we need the financial support to get there. The YBSA Foundation is a registered Non Profit Organisation.

If your company's CSI projects focus on the youth, entrepreneurship, financial literacy and unemployment alleviation, we'd like to hear from you. If you can sponsor this project in any way, please contact us and we'll provide you with all the information you need. Please e-mail Rob on robert@youngbizsa.co.za for details
