Introduction

Prodstrat school of product management deals with skills development of sales and product management education. Prodstrat is based in Midrand and have been offering product management within South Africa since 2005.

In August 2006 Prodstrat introduced the core level course which aims at offering sales training from a telesales to a sales representative in a company.

Ikusasa Lentsa initiative was introduced in October 2006 to help orphans/disadvantage youths to gain access into formal employment. Prodstrat focused on the youth who have finished their matric (Grade 12) secondary school as they will learn a skill that will enable them to gain working experience.

Who qualifies for Ikusasa Lentsa Program:
Matriculated orphans who are supporting their sisters/brothers and Unemployed.

An assessment is made to qualify all the applications. We have 15 attendees for our first programme from 3 November to 12 December 2006. We have raised R1,875.00 within our first week of appeal. We are chasing a target of R7,000.00 which will be used for accommodation, food and stationery to help these young people.

What is the Ikusasa Lentsa Program?
A five week learning program that takes place in Johannesburg and Magaliasburg for sales and product management training. The course addresses subjects like telesales, leadership, telemarketing, sales representative and product management.

For each module finished an examination and practical assignment is given to the attendees to be completed and passed. During the five week period all attendees are assessed by our software called Virtual Leader which gives us a full assessment of the attendees and their leadership style.
