Layer 3 Sound is the new Randburg-based business of producers Spike Ballantine and Jannine Purkiss. The studio will specialise in concepts and audio production for radio, and has already attracted clients such as Appletiser, Big Concerts, A1 GP and American company Radio Express (producers of the World Chart Show).

Spike Ballantine was senior station producer for 5FM for a number of years, and Jannine Purkiss worked as producer for Just Plain Darren before moving into a station producer role.
