Velvet Films has been awarded to produce the Gauteng Provincial Government and Bombela film documentaries for The Gautrain Project over the next three years. The project involves monthly filming and documenting of construction developments across all sites of the Gautrain Route. The Red One high-definition camera is the filming format of choice, since this form of technology offers premium 4K HD. This ensures the high definition quality required for international broadcast television and cinema. An advantage of the Red One is the slow motion capability of 120 frames per second, whereby dynamite never looked better.
