Visi magazine, in conjunction with the South African Institute of Architects (SAIA), is commissioning the fourth nation-wide survey of the best architectural designs in the country and inviting South Africans to vote for their favourite building. The survey kicks off following the recent announcement that South Africa has won the bid to host the World Congress of the International Union of Architects in 2014 and also asks respondents if South Africa has found an architectural expression that is unique enough to be termed ‘South African'. Results will be tabled at the end of August 2008 and released to coincide with International Architecture Day on 6 October. Go to www.visi.co.za or www.saia.org.za to vote.
