From 5 May 2008, SAfm Market Update with Moneyweb will air weeknights from just after the 6pm news until 6.30pm. The contract will run for an initial period of three years. This is a switch for Moneyweb within the SABC, brought about after a four-year spell on Radio 2000 ended with that station's re-positioning. Comments Moneyweb CEO Alec Hogg, “It feels like a homecoming. We're sure the station's dedicated audience will be delighted to welcome back our unique brand of easy listening business broadcasting and our regulars like David Shapiro, Wayne McCurrie, Piet Viljoen and Imtiaz Ahmed.”
